Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun and the smallest gas giant. Neptune is uninhabited due to it's fierce supersonic winds and near same composition of the far more placid Uranus which render a floating colony a pointless waste of money. Although Neptune itself is essentially uninhabited, many of it's moons are inhabited. Of all of Neptune's moons, Triton has the largest population.
