The Asteroid belt is a band of asteroids that stretches between the orbital paths of Mars and Jupiter. It has been theorized to once have been a planet but it got torn apart by the sheer gravity of Jupiter which was near it. The Asteroid belt is home to many worlds and dwarf planets like Ceres and Vesta.

The Asteroid belt would be the ideal place for dozens of human civilizations to thrive. In this area, there would be many lives living on the asteroids and dwarf planets that would there. The total population of those who lives on these planets would not be as much as that of Earth or Mars but will still be at least over a million lives. Trade and other forms of economic activities would be bustling in the Asteroid belt and would give way to many jobs there. Unlike the Kuiper belt, the Asteroid belt does not contain any comets.
